Deep Water-
It can be frustrating. I've had friends try almost 20 times, trying to get up, but then a girl from Idaho I taught got up on the first try, so… When lying in the water, keep the board flat, your arms straight, and act like you are sitting in a chair. You can get up straight legged, but its kind of hard, so just do it the easy way at first. (pics coming in summer) Pull your knees up to your chest, arms around your knees holding on the rope. Get all the slack out of the line, and you are ready to go.
When the boat starts pulling, let the board rise to the top of the water. At this point the fins should start pulling the nose of the board forward. At this point I don't have much advice. When teaching my friends I basically tell them how to set up, what they want to do, and what not to do. Standing up on the board requires just getting a feel of it, and standing up. I don't have any amazing tips to help you, just do it. But I can help you if you are having certain problems.
